About the owner - Michael Vogel

As the son of Peter Vogel and Gertraud Jesserer, he grew up in the acting milieu, which is also reflected in his restaurant.
His father Peter Vogel is best remembered by the general public for his starring role as the first Kottan in the series ‘Kottan ermittelt’. However, he also took part in numerous other film and theatre productions – not only as an actor but also as a director in the ‘Theater in der Josefstadt’.

His mother Gertraud Jesserer can look back on a long, successful career as a theatre, cinema and film actress. She has performed at the ‘Deutsches Schauspielhaus’ in Hamburg, the Vienna Burgtheater and the Munich Kammerspiele, among others. Her convincing performances have earned her many awards.
His grandfather, Rudolf Vogel, was also a very successful and well-known actor at the Munich State Theatre, the State Theatre and the Munich Kammerspiele. He also appeared in numerous film productions.
Michael’s brother – Nikolas Vogel – was also an actor and cinematographer who worked in some major German-language film productions.
Due to the Vogel family’s long and successful history of acting, it is not unusual for actors to be in the Frommen Helene and to be counted among the regulars.

The Vogelkeller or the old vaulted theatre

The premises of the former vaulted theatre offer an ideal location for a wide variety of celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, company parties, sponsorships, christenings and much more.
The first-class ventilation technology and underfloor heating guarantee a cosy atmosphere. In addition, a small stage is available and the well-stocked bar invites you to linger, even if one or two beers are enjoyed too much.

Furthermore, the premises of the former vaulted theatre have a modern audio and lighting system that ensures a perfect atmosphere. For a smooth organisation of your celebration, our experienced team is at your side and will be happy to assist you with the planning and implementation.
